Umbria_header

Located directly east of Tuscany, it should come as no surprise that Umbria’s most planted varietal is Sangiovese. Also, Umbria has taken to blending international varietals to make their own “Super Umbrian” wines. Though Umbria has been greatly influenced by Tuscan wine making, it has developed a reputation all its own for its full-bodied red made from the native Sagrantino varietal. Not only is Sagrantino a beautiful, lush full-bodied wine that can be drunk young or cellared for many years, it is only grown on 250 acres in the whole world.
